What is MOFGA?

The Maine Organic Farmers and Gardeners Association (MOFGA) certifies organic food and other agricultural products throughout the State of Maine. MOFGA’s Certified Clean Cannabis Program verifies growers and manufacturers are held to the same practices and rigorous standards required of the USDA Certified Organic program. These standards consist of third-party verification requiring: onsite inspection, traceability audits, thorough record keeping of production activities, unannounced inspections, and pesticide residue testing.

Why we care-

Clean cannabis represents a commitment to purity, sustainability, and health. This approach emphasizes organic cultivation techniques that avoid synthetic pesticides, herbicides, and fertilizers, ensuring that the end product is free from harmful residues. By prioritizing environmental responsibility, clean cannabis not only supports the ecosystem but also promotes a safer experience for consumers. Whether used for medicinal or recreational purposes, clean cannabis provides peace of mind through transparency and quality, allowing users to enjoy the benefits of this versatile plant without compromising their health or values.
